Family Law Solicitor Opportunity at First Line Family Law

Due to continued growth and expansion, we are excited to welcome a Family Solicitor to our close-knit legal team (NQ – 5 years PQE). We handle all private family law matters, including divorce, child arrangements, financial disputes, and TOLATA claims. We are looking for a solicitor who not only has expertise in family law but also values being part of a supportive and collaborative environment. Our team is passionate about delivering exceptional client care while fostering a positive, encouraging, and friendly workplace.

We operate a hybrid working model; typically 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a strong team connection.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of family law matters from start to finish, including divorce, child arrangements, and financial disputes.
• Provide clear, empathetic, and practical legal advice tailored to each client’s circumstances.
• Draft and review legal documents, including affidavits, consent orders, and court applications.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards.
• Liaise effectively with clients, courts, and other legal professionals to ensure smooth case progression.
• Stay up-to-date with developments in family law legislation and best practices to provide informed and strategic guidance.
• Contribute to the growth and reputation of the firm by actively marketing and promoting services, building client relationships, and supporting business development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with a practising certificate in family law.
• Proven experience managing family law cases independently or as part of a team.
• Strong business acumen, with keenness to promote the practice when necessary.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and compassionately.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple cases efficiently under tight deadlines.
• Proficient in legal IT systems, including case management and document drafting tools.
• Client-focused, able to build trust and rapport with a diverse range of clients.
• Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail at all times.
